I can say yes to Living in Hyderabad though it might not have beaches or any major river flow except durgam cheruvu and tank bund, few a night out pubs functional only in the areas of Gachibowli, Banjara Hills and jubilee hills  for entertainment, Hyderabad can be called a decent city to live in as the culture of Hyderabad is vibrant and you will find people from all parts of India. You will feel a little bit secured when you stay in few places like Malkajgiri, Sainikpuri to ECIL and little beyond. Happening places from Nagarjuna hills to Kondapur or from Ameerpet to chandanagar. My favourite best places to live in Hyderabad would be Himayathnagar, kachiguda, Malak pet, Begumpet, bhoiguda, west marredpally, Sindhi colony and any place which is not in outskirts and the places you should avoid is all the outskirts and new set up colonies which are after 30 km radius from Hyderabad city  because your life will be hell with no transport connectivity, Proper roads and hygienic hotels and secured colonies.

Hyderabad stands 7th position from a survey conducted in 40 cities in India somehow, I feel that remaining cities are far better than Hyderabad. Unless you are having a set of specific skills you cannot expect a good job in Hyderabad.

 

Is Hyderabad safe at night?

Hyderabad is an absolutely safe place at nights and particularly for a woman. People here are little bit coward in nature unless you aggregate them by showing your weakness you will have absolutely no problem at all in Hyderabad, in fact, this is the only safest place when compared to any another city in India.

What should someone know before moving to Hyderabad

Moving to a new place is exciting and hectic at the same time. On top of that, when you are moving to a city like Hyderabad, no doubt it will be an exciting venture. From the last 15 years, Hyderabad started becoming an attractive destination from all parts of India with rising job opportunities from the IT segment. This trend should continue further for 10 to 20 Years. Thus, it clearly summarizes finding a decent place for a living might not be that easy but I have added a few intricate points which will help you a place for living.

I will try to give my best-unbiased advice with my staying experience in Hyderabad from last 40 Years 

Himayathnagar, kachiguda, and nearby 5 km radius are best for a residential living for the people who are for the above middle class that means if anyone is earning more than 1 lakh per month he can comfortably stay in these areas – you will always have a company of elite society

From banjara hills to Kondapur a stretch of 20 Kms and 15 km radius is the most happening place of Hyderabad and you will see a vibrant culture within. This place is absolutely for the people whose per month income should be above one lakh otherwise you have a lot of hostels and serviced apartments to stay with co-workers and students 

Malkajgiri to Sainikpuri and with a radius of 10 KMS is the best choice for the families below one lakh per month earners and they can have a decent living in a good atmosphere

Now let me tell you the worst places in Hyderabad

From Uppal to ghatkesar

Mehdipatnam and a radius of 05 km

2kms radius of Nampally & Mallepally

Kondapur – A Growing Popular Location in Hyderabad

Kondapur is located in the Cyberabad information technology zone and in the last decade it has rapidly grown into a modern business hub. Google Hyderabad is in Kondapur. The region had a real estate and commercial zone expansion in the last two decades (1996 - 2010). A subsequent over-supply of housing has led to a real estate price stagnation during the years 2010 to 2013, which however did recover from the year 2014. The ground-water is quite sufficient all through the year for the people staying in apartments, though the purchase of municipal water is required during certain summer seasons.

Residential aspects: Kondapur has access to many supermarkets such as Ratnadeep, heritage fresh etc. surrounded by increasing international schools, medical facilities notably AIG, KIMS and Apollo Hospitals. Gachibowli sports arena is one of the landmarks providing sports facilities meeting international standards. well-connected bus services of TSRTC offer multiple travel routes. 127k - from Kondapur to Koti,10H - from Kondapur to Secunderabad,47k - from Secunderabad to Kondapur, 222 -from Patancheru via Kondapur to Koti. The International airport is approximately 30 kilometres, commuted through the outer ring road with bus (Airport service) and taxis. The nearest Hyderabad MMTS connection is available from Hafeez pet and the Hyderabad metro is available from Hitec-city stop. Most of the people in the apartments rented are software professionals working in the nearby adjacent IT hub.

Secunderabad right from the British the period is known for discipline, great roads and public transport facilities because of the army regiment and cantonment area, over a period of time a lot of politicians tried to snatch away the area and tried to spoil the localities but could not be successful this is most distinct feature of Secunderabad that even today it is the best place to live in. though most of the residential localities in Secunderabad are far away from IT Hub Gachibowli and nowadays has become chaotic in travelling but I can say that it is heaven for all kinds of households. Populated mostly by individual homes, Secunderabad has seen a growing trend of apartments and gated communities. A recent development in the local real estate division, the residents have shown a good response to multi-storey apartments. Flats in Secunderabad have seen a huge price appreciation mostly after the completion of the metro rail project. Now I think due to the coronavirus pandemic prices are buried and will not rise for the coming 2 to 3 years.

West and east Marredpally is considered as one of the best housing colonies where you can also, find Mahindra hills which is a little replica of Banjara hills. For middle and the lower-middle group New mirjalguda to Kushaiguda via malkajgiri, Anand Bagh and few areas of Neredmet is a heaven destination and for your information malkajgiri constituency is supposed to be the largest in Telangana. People here are very traditional mostly they are employees or retired from south-central railways and who have been working with various other central government departments like ECIL, NFC etc.,

Sindhi Colony, Prakash agar, Begumpet is the areas of businessmen who have their traditional businesses in raniganj. Though it is expensive I don’t recommend you to stay here because of the pollution and not at all maintained by the state government staff, I don’t know the reasons but its very pathetic hygienic conditions prevail in these areas.

I would like to discuss one more important area where most of the people who come from other places get duped and finally stuck and those areas are in the radius of 2kms from Secunderabad railway station. Whether It is sitaphalmandi or risalabazar please make a wise decision before living in these areas – think twice negotiate with the property owners properly and shift.
